I'm Buying a Child - A Book by Birgit Kelle, personally signed
It is ordered in America, Ukraine, or Georgia. Manufacturing material, equipment, and color are chosen from a catalog, it is paid for, and picked up after completion. But we are not talking about automobiles, but about babies. The so-called "surrogacy" is thus advancing on the world market to become the modern human trafficking of our time.
While surrogacy is only allowed to a limited extent even in countries like Thailand and India, profiteering is spreading more and more in Europe. Due to the war, child trafficking has shifted from Ukraine to Georgia, but even in the German parliament, there are more and more advocates, and among celebrities, the trend towards "outsourcing childbearing" is growing. The legalization of allegedly non-commercial surrogacy is currently being examined by a commission on behalf of the federal government. However, the experience of other countries shows: The so-called "altruistic" variant is always the door-opener for the commercial market.
Globally recognized ethical and moral boundaries are being torn down: human trafficking for adults and organ trafficking are socially ostracized, but buying children is now okay? A kidney no – an entire child yes? From a woman's perspective, surrogacy is prostitution 2.0. If previously "only" her sexuality was exploited, now her childbearing capacity is desired for money.
A highly topical and for many women and children extremely dangerous topic that is still discussed far too little. Birgit Kelle explains in her usual incisive style who benefits from it, who profits from it, who suffers from it, and why it must be banned worldwide.
